Description
Gibson Les Paul – Gold Top P90
This print has two patents on the Gibson Les Paul guitar.
The first patent by Ted McCarty, CEO of Gibson at the time, is for the fixed bridge and tail piece and shows the classic shape of the Les Paul. This patent replaced the trapeze bridge and tail piece that was originally designed by Les Paul.
The second is for a tuning head.
The guitar shown here is a gold top guitar from that period showing the new fixed bridge and the P-90 pickups.
